MDS RECENT AWARDS AND WORK

CAAS IV, U.S. Air Force

CAAS IV (Contracted Advisory and Assistance Services) is a five year, $7B program, managed by the Air Combat Command (ACC) Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC). The strategic initiative supports Headquarters (HQ) ACC mission requirements, HQ Air Force (HAF), Secretary of the Air Force (SAF) organizations, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), and AFDW Contracting Office customer mission requirements. The contract will provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) in the areas of Management and Professional Services; Engineering Studies, Analyses and Evaluations; and Engineering and Technical Services. Integrators will deliver information, advice, opinions, alternatives, analyses, evaluations, recommendations, training and other supplemental services. Performance under the vehicle may be executed both CONUS and OCONUS. HQ ACC is the primary force provider of combat airpower to America's war fighting commands. The Command operates fighter, bomber, reconnaissance, battle-management, and electronic-combat aircraft. ACC also provides command, control and communications systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and conducts global information operations. HAF incorporates all elements of the United States Air Force (USAF) mission to deliver sovereign options for the defense of the United States of America and its global interests. MDS is a subcontractor team member to a tier-1 prime integrator on the effort.

OPTARSS II, U.S. Army FORSCOM

The $2B Army FORSCOM, Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services (OPTARSS) contract is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity vehicle available for worldwide DoD use. Areas of performance include: command, control, computers, communication and intelligence (C4I) system management; Army transformation/BRAC support; modeling and simulation support; flight operations support; mobilization plans and execution, and; deployment operations. MDS is as subcontractor to a Tier I large business integrator on this 5 year program.

MPEC II, U.S Air Force

The Mission Planning Enterprise Contract II (MPEC-II), awarded by the 951st ELSG/PK at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, is a 10-year, $919.6M multiple-award contract. MPEC will increase the interoperability for the F-15, F-16, B-1, B-2, F-22 and additional aircraft and is a key component in the Air Force’s path to net-centric warfare. The core component of the MPEC program, the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS),  automates mission planning through the development of common components and software that can be shared across all platforms, including various aircraft, smart munitions and some ground vehicles. Over the next seven years, under the MPEC structure, the net-centric JMPS will replace Air Force legacy systems, as well as the Navy’s and Army’s counterpart tactical aircraft mission planning systems. MDS is as subcontractor to a prime integrator on the program.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

MDS personnel have supported a Tier I integrator on preliminary design efforts for the DHS initiative to secure  the U.S. border.  MDS performed both technical and business analysis in support of an acceptable architecture. The mission seeks to provide a "common operating picture" of the border environment that can be shared with DHS components and federal, state, and local partners to provide comprehensive situational awareness improving interoperability.
